Welcome to Shou Sumiyaki, where we offer a traditional Japanese charcoal grill barbecue experience. Our menu includes yakitori, lunch options, main menu, and specialty omakase sets. We’re dedicated to serving top-quality food and drinks in a cozy, exclusive setting for a truly relaxing dining experience.
At Shou Sumiyaki, we embody the essence of ‘Sumiyaki,’ the traditional Japanese art of charcoal grilling. Our tables feature a central charcoal grill, where you’ll find fresh, high-quality ingredients ready for you to grill to perfection. Using Binchotan charcoal, we ensure a flavorful experience, grilling only the finest Wagyu beef and seafood for your enjoyment.

Our restaurant offers semi-private booths in a cozy setting with soft lighting. For a more exclusive experience, our unique Tatami private dining area can accommodate up to 40 guests. An intimate space, a welcoming restaurant in Melbourne city that allows you to get away from all your worries. Shou Sumiyaki offers three dining areas: the counter sitting style Yakitori bar, standard dining areas for gathering of three & above, and the function room that requires a booking. We can accommodate groups of any size and hero large group bookings for lunch and dinner.
We have a fantastic selection of set menus showcasing our favourite flavours and most popular dishes on our menu. Larger group guests can choose from a set menu of starting from $49.50 per person, featuring daily fresh salmon sashimi and more – with a focus on variety cuts of locally grown of quality meat ingredients.
